About the Role:
Ackerman Jewelers Inc is looking for a skilled Watch Repair Technician to join our team in Tampa, FL! This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your passion for horology and precision craftsmanship to a respected jewelry establishment where quality and attention to detail are everything.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, automatic, and quartz watch movements
- Perform routine watch servicing including cleaning, oiling, and regulating timepieces
- Replace watch batteries, crystals, crowns, stems, and other components
- Inspect and test watches for accuracy and functionality after repair
- Communicate repair estimates and timelines to customers and sales staff
- Maintain detailed service records and track repair orders
- Handle luxury and high-end watch brands with care and professionalism
Requirements:
- Proven experience in watch repair and servicing, including mechanical and quartz movements
- Proficiency with watchmaking tools and equipment
- Familiarity with luxury and designer watch brands is a strong plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and fine motor skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair orders efficiently
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Formal watchmaking training or certification (e.g., AWCI) preferred
